Sam Fason, DDS
Dr. Fason is one of the two doctors who founded Austin Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery forty years ago. After completing his residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in 1970, he came to Austin to start his own practice. When a dance studio moved upstair from his practice, he went looking for a new location. That's when he met Dr. James Fricke, an innovative, energetic oral surgeon. The two teamed up and the rest is history. As their practice grew, they added new partners, adhering to their leading mission of quality of care. With each new doctor came a greater sense of camaraderie and depth of expertise among the group. As an avid gardener, Dr. Fason's passion and skill show both in the beautiful landscape around his home and in the cultivation and growth of our practice.
