Meet Dr. Cain

William C. Cain, DDS, MD

Dr. William C. Cain is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He received his Bachelor of Science degree and Masters of Science Degree in Microbiology and Immunology from Texas Tech University, his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry and his Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University School of Medicine. After completing a General Surgery Internship at Baylor University Medical Center and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Baylor College of Dentistry, he joined Austin Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in July 2007.

Dr. Cain has many professional affiliations; among them are the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Society, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, and Capitol Area Dental Society.

Dr. Cain has participated in research on various aspects of his specialty and has been published in national and international publications. He also lectures locally and nationally on topics pertaining to his area of expertise. He continues to attend national meetings, seminars and lectures to keep abreast of the most current dental health information.

Dr. Cain practices all aspects of oral surgery but his emphasis is on implants, bone grafting, total joint replacement, and the treatment of facial pain disorders, including those due to temporomandibular joint (TMJ) problems.
